For our client, they don’t have to worry about Infrastructure as a service (IaaS-level service) ranging from server to security. LaaS frees up human resources to let our client focus on core businesses and content delivery instead of IT infrastructure.

Things to consider when selecting Cloud Computing Service

  • Region and Zone
    Firstly, you need to choose a region based on the geographic locations of you and your target users to reduce network latency. The data center closest to your target users so that they have fast access.
  • High Availability
    Secondly, you need to ensure your business consistency and continuity is our priority. Thus, we take data backup and disaster recovery into our consideration as well.
  • Network Connections & Security
    Thirdly, you need to define and customize by specifying the IP address range and configuring route tables and network gateways. Next, able to deploy firewall and DDos protection to defend against common web attacks. Scenario

      One of our customers, X was running for 5 dedicated servers in Oct 2018 for his company before switching their hosting service to us. It was hard and costly to maintain all these servers. At the same time, the customer’s computing resources are not being fully utilized as 5 servers were used to serve lesser than 10,000 users.

       After the customer approached us, we provided them a complete cloud computing solution by eliminating their 5 dedicated servers and moved it into 2 cloud computing instances. Therefore, these 2 cloud computing instances are orchestrated by a load balancing server.

       The primary role is to distribute the network traffic intelligently to each cloud computing instance to be processed and finally the results are served to the users. In this case, the main advantage of this cloud computing solution is being able to perform auto scaling by increasing the number of computing instances based on current traffic and workload in order to serve more users.

       In conclusion, the whole process is fully automated without having a human to manually deploy and manage the servers. After the workload returns to its normal level, the unused instances will be released automatically. Until July 2020, it remains only 2 cloud computing instances to serve more than 200,000 users.
